Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC have officially been crowned champions of the 2025/26 Finance Trust Bank FUFA Women Super League after a dramatic final day title race that went down to the wire.
The championship battle was decided on the final matchday as simultaneous fixtures were played at the FUFA Technical Centre in Njeru and the Kawempe Muslim Secondary School Ground.
Title rivals She Corporate FC needed a victory to secure the crown but were held to a frustrating goalless draw by She Maroons FC in Njeru.
Meanwhile, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC delivered a commanding performance, defeating Olila High School WFC 3-1 to snatch the title in style.
Goals from Jovia Nakagolo, Agnes Nabukenya and Latifah Nakasi sealed a memorable victory for Kawempe, while Mary Lotyang scored the consolation goal for Olila High School WFC.

The win saw Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC finish the season on 52 points, just one ahead of She Corporate FC, who ended with 51 points.
Their title-winning campaign was built on consistency, resilience and composure in key moments throughout the season. Kawempe also completed a league double over She Corporate FC, winning both home and away meetings against their closest challengers.
This latest triumph marks the club’s sixth league title overall and their second championship since the competition was rebranded as the FUFA Women Super League in 2019.
FUFA 2nd Vice President Dr. Azah Taibu presided over the trophy handover ceremony alongside FUFA Executive Committee Member Rogers Mulindwa, Kawempe Muslim Secondary School Deputy Head Teacher Ahmed Ssengoba, and Finance Trust Bank Head of Marketing and Corporate Affairs Percy Lubega.
In one of the emotional highlights of the celebrations, three-time league champion Nazizi Florence carried the trophy to the podium ahead of the official crowning ceremony.
With the championship victory, Kawempe Muslim Ladies FC will now represent Uganda at the CECAFA Qualifiers for the CAF Women’s Champions League scheduled for September this year.
