Toronto, Canada – June 19, 2026 – The Voice of Women’s Sport has officially released its highly anticipated Second Edition, continuing its mission of celebrating, empowering, and inspiring women and girls in sport across the globe.

The latest edition features an exclusive cover story on Canadian football icon Christine Sinclair, widely regarded as one of the greatest players in the history of women’s football. Titled “The Face of Canada,” the feature explores Sinclair’s remarkable journey from the parks of Burnaby to becoming the world’s all-time leading international goal scorer and an Olympic gold medalist.

The second edition also tackles some of the most important issues shaping women’s sport today. Readers will find an in-depth feature on East Africa’s Women’s Football Revolution, highlighting the rapid growth of the women’s game across the region and the challenges that remain.

Another major investigation, “Blood on the Track: How East Africa’s Female Running Stars Became Prey,” examines the difficult realities facing female athletes and calls for stronger protections and support systems.

The magazine further explores The Quiet Crisis in Canadian Women’s Sport, shedding light on the barriers that continue to affect female athletes despite significant progress in recent years. In addition, the edition looks at the remarkable commercial rise of women’s sport through the feature “Women’s Sport: From Undervalued Sector to a Multi-Billion-Dollar Industry.”

Speaking on the release of the new edition, Founder and Editor-in-Chief Dagim Zinabu Tekle said the magazine remains committed to telling powerful stories that often go untold and to creating a platform that elevates women’s voices in sport.

“The growth of women’s sport around the world deserves deeper coverage, stronger storytelling, and greater recognition. This second edition reflects our commitment to shining a light on the athletes, leaders, and issues shaping the future of sport,” he said.

Since its launch, The Voice of Women’s Sport has positioned itself as a unique platform dedicated exclusively to women’s sports, bringing global stories, exclusive interviews, and investigative features to readers in Canada, Africa, and beyond.

The Second Edition of The Voice of Women’s Sport Magazine is now available to readers worldwide.
